TEdit is a free, open‑source map editor for Terraria that lets you open, view, and modify your world files outside the game. It provides a full visual editor with brushes and selection tools so you can paint tiles and walls, sculpt terrain, place furniture and decorations, and work with liquids, wires, actuators, and paint. You can copy, paste, rotate, and mirror areas; import and export schematics to reuse builds; and quickly create or tweak biomes.
Beyond terrain, TEdit lets you edit world properties and content, including spawn point, time, weather, dungeon side, and various progression flags. It supports detailed object editing, such as chests, signs, item frames, and mannequins, and includes utilities to validate and fix common world issues. A layered, zoomable minimap view, eyedropper, flood fill, and undo/redo streamline large projects.
TEdit works directly on Terraria .wld files and does not modify the game executable. It is primarily a Windows application, with many users running it on macOS and Linux via Wine. Back up your worlds before editing, and ensure you’re using a TEdit version that matches your Terraria world format. TEdit is a community project and is not affiliated with Re‑Logic.
